COLORoW: Maisel Street Footbridge
Graham Projects is collaborating with the Westport Community Economic Development Corporation to create a community-informed pavement artwork at the entrances to the Maisel Street Footbridge, including wayfinding stencils connecting the footbridge to Westport Academy. This will improve pedestrian safety, discourage anti-social behaviors near the bridge, and increase community joy by introducing vibrant colors and emphasizing existing walking routes with the community-inspired pavement mural and stencils.
Neighbors, students from Westport Academy, business owners, and friends from surrounding blocks are invited to share their artwork ideas for this project through in-person and online activities. Complete this form to share your ideas for artwork within the light blue “pavement art area” at the East Entrance to the Footbridge at Annapolis Road. Using everyone’s drawings, ideas, and images as inspiration, Graham Projects public artists will develop pavement art design options for you and other residents to vote on your preferred choice.
